Bhubaneswar, 18th March 2021: Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy, Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar), Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy and SAI – Academy emerged as winners on day two of the 1st Hockey India Junior Women Academy National Championship 2021.
In Pool C, Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy registered a comfortable 9 – 1 victory over Raja Karan Hockey Academy with goals from Nilam Kachhap (2’, 9’, 22’, 45’), Jinkala Sandhya (5’, 20’, 26’, 51’) and Priyanka Kumari (57’). Rajni got on the score sheet for Raja Karan Hockey Academy in the 48th minute.
In the second Pool C encounter, Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) defeated Salute Hockey Academy 9 – 3. Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) became the second team to score nine times today, with goals from Sneha Sabharwal (10’, 12’, 28’), Captain Simranjeet Kaur (15’, 43’, 49’, 58’), Taranpreet Kaur (18’) and Palak Kaur (57’). Salute Hockey Academy found the net three times in the match, with goals from Captain Rajbala (5’, 15’) and Annu (54’).
In Pool D, Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy began their campaign with a 4 – 0 victory over Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy. Nisha (5’), Kovida (23’, 34’) and Bhumika (37’) got on the score sheet for Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy.
In the second Pool D match, SAI – Academy defeated Jai Bharat Hockey Academy 6 – 0. Sanjna Horo bagged four goals (3’, 32’, 51’, 52’), while Poonam Mundu (6’) and Hina Bano (26’) chipped in with one goal each.
