Chauhan’s check mate to redesign the slate

Incumbent Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan and his team took everyone by a storm by nailing a huge victory against the opposition in AICF elections. Secretary Bharat Singh and team defeated the sitting President P R V Raja in an online election. Despite the initial inhibitions of losing the elections on account of unfair opposition, the Chauhan camp faired out brilliantly. The victory is anticipated to play in favour of the sport, as Chauhan is all for improving the prospects of the sport. The chase was close, Raja, one of the biggest industrialists of Tamil Nadu, lost by a very smallmargin (33-31) to Dr. Sanjay Kapoor of UP.The key battle to watch out for the post of Secretary, was amongst Bharat Singh Chauhan andR M Dongre of Maharashtra. Chauhan aced undefeated by 35 to 29 votes.This paramount win will infuse the life the sport needed and will prove to be a pivotal achievement going further. GM Abhijeet Gupta remarked this massive victory as,  ‘I am surethat the work done in last three years will see its true pinnaclenow”.

Bharat Singh’s team managed to steal the show by sealing 11 of the total 15 posts i.e. President, Secretary, Treasurer, 5 Vice Presidents and 3 Joint Secretaries. On the other hand the opposition has to settle with only  1 Vice President and 3 Joint Secretaries post.
Bharat Singh expressed gratitude, ‘We are going towork as a team, I have been fighting this for almost 1.5 years now. Justice is delivered and Indian Chess is in good hands, is all I can promise for now. All our election promises will be delivered”,
The pipeline of the sport is loaded with a lot of prospective opportunities, The Indian league being one of them. With the sport fairing out well amidst the pandemic, already many sponsors are eying to invest in the property.
