Ahmedabad, 11 October 2025: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar visited the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad to witness the final day of Water Polo action at the 11th Asian Aquatics Championship 2025. Greeted by Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of Home, Youth & Sports, Government of Gujarat, Shri Virendra Nanavati, Senior Vice President, Asia Aquatics, and Shri Monal Choksi, Secretary General, Swimming Federation of India, Akshay Kumar witnessed enthralling matches and the growing stature of aquatic sports in India.
The visit added a touch of star power to the closing stages of the prestigious continental championship, which has seen remarkable performances from top Asian teams across swimming, diving, and water polo disciplines.
