Today on 22nd September after a gap of one year post pandemic, covid-19 Delhi swimmers got an opportunity to participate in state championship.

On the opening day of 56th Delhi State Aquatic championship saw few prominent swimmers in action.
Bhavya Sachdeva, won two gold medals in group-1 girls, Prachi Tokas won two gold medals in women section & Sanskar Tokas won one gold & one silver in men section.

56th Delhi State Aquatics Swimming Championships-2021 is being organized from 22nd to 24th September 2021 at Dr. SPM Swimming Pool Complex, Delhi to revive Swimming, Diving and Water polo in Delhi.
The sport has been badly affected due to restrictions put in by the Government to contain ongoing pandemic COVID 19.

DSA Secretary, Shri. Raj Kumar said ‘All athletes are enthusiastically participating in the ongoing championship. The pools in Delhi remained closed for a long time, still some exceptional performances have been delivered by swimmers’.
He also requested the Government both Central and State to take steps and make policies for the promotion of swimming in Delhi.

The championship is organized as per Government of India strict covid guidelines/ protocal.
