Redemption may seem like an outdated word, but it holds immense importance in different
religious scriptures and people’s lives. Although people may evolve with time, this is one of the
basic features that will always hold significance in their lives.

Religion And Redemption Evolution Through Time

Every soul in the human body seeks redemption or else they would not have been trapped in
the cycle of birth, death, and reincarnation. Earlier back in the Stone Age, when religion or
worshiping started it started because people were fearful of the uncertain weather patterns.

Gradually, religion too evolved, and depending on various places geography religious practices
began. But the crux of all was the same: an elite group who had access to God were priests,
and the rest of the tribe had to do the sacrifice and cleanings as they were asked.

And people did because they wanted to be free of sin. Then, came incarnations like Christ, Sai
Baba, etc in the form of healers who tried to spread the true message of the Universal and one
and only god that all those who seek Him the Supreme Being with faith, will find Him. A lot more
was taught in the teachings like forgiveness towards fellow beings, love for all, gratitude for all
that God gave, etc.

But the most important thing is the lesson and teaching on Redemption. No one is completely
holy or divine, every person either in body, mind, emotions, or thought commits a crime that has
to be cleansed and it does not require intensive ritualistic cleanings but rather just sincere
repentance to the God one believes in and that person will be redeemed.

Redemption For All

Even a person who has committed a crime of the highest order like murder will be forgiven in
the court of God if he seeks sincere repentance and is ready to make amends and follow a
righteous and compassionate path. Such is the love and mercy of God.

Hence, it is never too late for anyone to change the discourse of their lives, remember the king
Ashoka who before following Buddhism was known as Chandalashoka.

Similarly, life at different turns of time will offer you a chance, have the courage to pursue it,
irrespective of what you have been, there is always hope for all, and in the court of God, all are
equal and all are his children.
