1. In view of reporting of new variant of Covid-19 named Omicron, Union Health Ministry has revised guidelines for international arrivals in India to be effective from 1st December. The Ministry has mandated submitting 14 days travel details, uploading negative RT-PCR test report on Air Suvidha portal before the journey. The RT-PCR test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey.
As per Health Ministry’s guidelines.
2. India might hit the brakes on resuming commercial international flights following an outbreak of the new COVID-19 variant of concern ‘Omicron’ in some countries. The decision, however, will have no impact on air bubbles that are operating as of now.
3. The 9th Edition of the International Travel Mart, ITM for North East Region got underway last evening at Kohima. The three-day event was jointly launched by Union Minister of State Tourism & Defence Ajay Bhatt, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, MLA & Advisor Tourism H Khehovi Yeputhomi.
