UK PM Rishi Sunak may face questions over wife Akshata’s Infosys shares in FTA with India. According to the report, Infosys – which has had contracts with the British government as well as many UK companies – is known to want to improve access to the UK for its thousands of contract workers through changes to the visa regime.
1. India has handed over the B20 presidency to 🇧🇷Brazil to host G20 in 2024. B20 India Chair N Chandrasekaran said that India’s B20 Presidency under the its G20 Presidency worked under the theme of Vasaudeva Katumbakam (One Earth, One Family, One Future).
2. G20 Technical Workshop on One Health-Opportunities and Challenges will be held in Bengaluru from 29th to 31st of August to be hosted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
3. As part of India’s G20 presidency, the second G20-Chief Scientific Advisers’ Roundtable meeting will officially begin in Gandhinagar today. Science advisors, Scientists, researchers from G20 countries, and invited countries will participate.
4. Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal and the UK’s Secretary of State for Trade, Ms. Kemi Badenoch held a meeting to review the ongoing India 🇬🇧UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
5. The third High-Level Dialogue (HLD) between India and the European Union (EU) was also held in New Delhi on 26 Aug. During the meeting, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis took stock of the ongoing three negotiations between India and the EU. These negotiations consist of :
(a) India-EU Free Trade Agreement;
(b) A standalone Investment Protection Agreement;
(c) A Geographical Indications Agreement.

7. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a meeting with Helena Budliger, State Secretary, Director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), European Union in New Delhi.

He was formerly employed as a research coordinator at a medical clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, under an H-1B visa. Between January 2020 and March 2020, Masood used an encrypted messaging application to facilitate his travel overseas to join a terrorist organization.
