1. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday attended a meeting of the top security officials from the member nations of the Shanghai Corporation Organisation (SCO) in Tajikistan capital Dushanbe. Tajikistan, the current president of the SCO, is hosting the meeting of the top national security officials of the eight-nation grouping on June 23 and 24.
2. India & Bhutan have jointly launched the “Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB)” on June 23, 2021(Wednesday). TIWB is a joint initiative of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
3. Bhutan launched this programme & choose India as Partner Jurisdiction. India provided the Tax Expert for this programme.
This programme will run for about 24 months. The programme focuses on the area of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.
4. India has decided to make CoWIN platform an open source for other countries in order to enable them to use this technology to run their own vaccination drives.
Vietnam, Iraq, Peru, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Nigeria, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Uganda have expressed their interest in learning about CoWIN technology to run their vaccination programmes. Actually Co-WIN platform is owned by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Earlier, this platform was used to conduct Pulse Polio and other crucial immunisation programmes in India.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched a ‘Centre for Research on Start-Ups and Risk Financing’ (CREST) which will provide academic & thought leadership in innovation, entrepreneurship and risk capital. CREST will help in creating a data repository on Indian start-ups & ventures.

1. The G20 meeting was hosted in blended mode by Italy, in which G20 education ministers shared views on how to progress on the fight against educational poverty and inequalities, especially in context of the Covid 19 pandemic. During the virtual meeting, G-20 Ministers exchanged their views on transitions from school to work.
2. The 2021 G20 Rome summit is the upcoming sixteenth meeting of Group of Twenty, scheduled to take place in Rome, the capital city of Italy, on 30–31 October 2021. G20 member countries include- Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Brazil, France, India, South Korea, United States, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, United Kingdom, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and European Union.
