1. BRICS expansion: The major outcome of the BRICS Summit is the decision of the BRICS (🇧🇷Brazil, 🇷🇺Russia, 🇮🇳India, 🇨🇳China, and South Africa)- leaders to expand its membership to include six new members. 🇦🇷Argentina, 🇪🇬Egypt, 🇪🇹Ethiopia, 🇮🇷Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the 🇦🇪UAE.

2. PM Modi Calls for BRICS to be Voice of the Global South; Participates in BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogue in Johannesburg.

3. PM Modi raised concerns with Chinese President Xi Jinping over unresolved issues along LAC (Line of Actual Control).

4. The Trade and Investment Ministerial Meeting under India’s G-20 Presidency began in Jaipur. PM Modi addressed the meeting through a video message.

5. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed has offered his warm congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian people on the landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the lunar surface.

6. High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay, has said that India-Sri Lanka relations are likely to enhance in key areas of food security, energy security, currency support, and long-term investments.

7. PM Modi and Iran President Ebrahim Raisi held a bilateral meeting in Johannesburg on the sidelines of the 15th BRICS Summit.The meeting between the two leaders came days after they had a telephone conversation in which they discussed matters of bilateral and regional importance.

8. Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Wednesday congratulated India on the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon.

1. India has become the fourth country to successfully land on the moon as the Chandrayaan-3’s lander module.

2. In Greece, fires are still burning out of control in foothills near Athens and the Evros region near the border with Turkey. At least 20 people lost their lives in fire-related incidents so far.
