1. 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that to make BRICS a future-ready organization, there is a need to make the respective societies also future-ready.

2. PM Modi holds meeting with South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa on the sidelines of BRICS Summit in Johannesburg.

3. Showing respect to the Indian flag, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday immediately picked up the tricolour placed on stage at a BRICS meeting here to mark the standing place of every leader so as not to step on it.

A video of the meeting showed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa acknowledging the prime minister’s gesture and picking up his country’s flag after stepping on it.

While Ramaphosa handed over his flag to an official, Modi kept the tricolour with him.

4. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar delivers video message at Sri Lankan Parliament, emphasizes strong ties between both countries.

5. G20 Chief Coordinator Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that India’s G20 Presidency is unique and unparalleled in the history of G20. He said, many new initiatives have been taken under India’s Presidency of G20.

6. Russian president Vladimir Putin on Wednesday congratulated India on the successful moon landing of the Chandrayaan 3 mission.

7. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Administrator Bill Nelson on Wednesday congratulated India and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.He also hailed the India-US partnership on Artemis Accords which aims to establish a common vision via a practical set of principles, guidelines, and best practices.

3. 🇺🇦UKRAINIAN authorities have claimed that a 🇷🇺Russian drone attack hit country’s southern Odesa region. Governor Oleh Kiper said, the latest strike on facilities used to export grain since the collapse of a deal allowing safe shipments through the Black Sea.

4. In 🇧🇩Bangladesh, trial has begun against four people, including Nobel Laureate and Grameen Telecom Chairman Dr Muhammad Yunus, in a labour law violation case.

5. A plane carrying Wagner mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin reportedly crashed on Wednesday in the Tver region northwest of Moscow all 10 onboard killed.

6. United States of America’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine for use in women during pregnancy to protect the baby.

This vaccine has been developed by Pfizer and the approval allows the vaccine to be given to women 32 to 36 weeks into pregnancy for prevention of lower respiratory tract infection and severe disease in infants until they are six months old.

8. Several people gathered at the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s Rawalakot and torched thousands of electricity bills.The demonstration brushed aside a notification issued by the PoK government on Monday in its desperate attempt to defuse the situation.
