1. PM Modi to attend former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe in funeral in Tokyo on 27th Sept.
Abe was shot at twice while he was giving a speech on a street in the city of Nara on 8 July 2022. served as Prime Minister of Japan and President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020.

1. Sri Lanka, the annual inflation rate surged to more than 70% in August as the country struggles with its worst economic crisis.
2. Russia will on Friday begin its plan to annex around 15% of Ukrainian territory via referendums in four regions controlled by Russian forces.
3. Iran: 9 people killed, several injured as massive anti-hijab protest continued in country following the custodial death of a 22-year-old woman Mahsa Amini.
Video footages of the protests showed furious women cutting their hair and burning hijabs in a bid to fight back against the mandatory veiling of women. The women have united against what they say is a gender apartheid regime and are demanding their basic rights.
