1. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Tuesday met US Secretary of Air Force Frank Kendall in New Delhi. They discussed the global strategic scenario and new opportunities for India-US defense cooperation.

6. Islamic preacher Zakir Naik’s lawyer Mubin Solkar said media reports stating that Naik will be deported to India from Oman are false. Naik is presently in Oman to deliver two religious lectures in the capital city Muscat during Ramadan.

Hundreds of people from the Indian community gathered at the India House in London with Tricolours in their hands, days after Khalistan supporters pulled down the Tricolour at the Indian High Commission. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has made a surprise trip to Ukraine to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky – a day after Chinese leader Xi Jinping met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Kishida arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday afternoon local time, and also traveled to Bucha, the town just north of the Ukrainian capital that has become synonymous with Russian atrocities and alleged war crimes.
