1. *PM Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison to hold second India-Australia Virtual Summit on 21 Mar. The Summit follows the historic first virtual summit which was held on 4th of June in 2020.

2. Australian High Commissioner to India Barry O’Farrell said the Quad nations of Australia, Japan and the US have accepted India’s stand on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “It’s clear from the comments of…PM Modi…that he has used his contacts to call for the end of the conflict and no country will be unhappy with that,” said O’Farrell.

3. *PM Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held productive talks and discussed ways to boost economic and cultural linkages between the two countries.

Japan to invest 3.2 lakh crore rupees in India over the next five years. In his press statement, PM Modi said, India presents limitless possibilities for Make in India for the world.

4. *India and Japan signed six agreements in the areas including cyber security, waste water management and clean energy after the 14th India-Japan Annual Summit in New Delhi on 20 Mar.

5. *The trajectory of cyclone Asani shifted eastward* : The low-pressure area formed over the South-East Bay of Bengal and adjoining south the Andaman Sea is moving northwards along and off Andaman and Nicobar islands. It is likely to intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hrs and transform into a storm cyclone. Thereafter, it is likely to reach the north-east to Bangladesh and North Myanmar coast around 22nd March. It lay centered over the same region, around 170 km south of Port Blair.

6. *Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has admitted that the foreign policy of India is independent and for the betterment of people.This comes when Imran Khan is scheduled to face the opposition’s no-confidence motion against him. A session of the National Assembly has been called on March 25.

7. *Israeli PM Naftali Bennett will arrive in India on his first official visit on April 2, according to a statement from his office. Bennett’s visit comes on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

1. Pakistan, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned the session of the lower house to deliberate on the opposition’s no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on 25th of this month.

2. During his address to the Israeli Parliament, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, “Why Israel hasn’t imposed powerful sanctions on Russia or isn’t putting pressure on Russian business.” He also questioned Israel’s reluctance to sell the Iron Dome system to Ukraine. “Everybody knows that your missile defence systems are the best…and that you can definitely help…save…lives,” he said.

3. PayPal said it is expanding services in Ukraine and Ukrainians will now be able to send and receive money from friends and family. Earlier, PayPal users in Ukraine could only send money internationally from their accounts and not receive it. PayPal is also waiving transaction fees for remittances to Ukrainian accounts.

4. 10,000 people attended an ‘anti-war’ concert in Berlin on Sunday to express solidarity with Ukraine, police said. The concert took place near Brandenburg Gate, which was symbol of divided Germany during Cold War.

5. Germany and Qatar have agreed upon a long-term energy partnership to help cut reliance on Russian gas amid its invasion of Ukraine, German Economic Minister Robert Habeck said on Sunday. “Although we might still need Russian gas this year, in…future [we won’t],” Habeck added.

6. *MASSIVE SERIAL BLASTS AT SIALKOT ARMY DEPOT IN PAKISTAN AFTER CHINESE MISSILE PL-15 FAILS WHILE TESTING FROM J10-C JET: A series of blasts were echoed in Pakistan’s Sialkot on 20 Mar Sunday afternoon. On the other hand, if the local media report is to be believed, all these explosions took place in the Pakistani Army depot at Sialkot amid a major political crisis in Pakistan. The blast is said to have taken place in the Army’s ammunition depot.

7. *Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday said that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if his country would have been a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO),

8. Office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on Sunday said at least 902 civilians were killed in Ukraine since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. UN human rights office added that 1,459 residents were injured in Ukraine so far.
