1. INDIA-CANADA ROW: The strained relations between India and Canada took a sharp downward turn on Tuesday as Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau accused “agents of the Indian government” in the killing of prominent Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The Sikh separatist leader was shot dead by unidentified shooters in June outside a Gurudwara in Canada’s Surrey. The Indian government rejected the allegations.

2. Amid the tensions between India and Canada, the security of the Canada High Commission increased on Tuesday. Several personnel of the Central Reserve Police and Delhi Police were deployed outside the Canadian High Commission.

3. The United Kingdom is in “close touch” with its Canadian partners about serious allegations made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on India’s link in the alleged assassination of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

4. India on Tuesday expelled a Canadian diplomat in a tit-for-tat move following the expulsion of its senior envoy by Canada. This came days after Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval vehemently flagged the Khalistan issue with his counterparts from Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia at the G20 Summit.

5. India on Tuesday rejected the allegations by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the Indian government’s involvement in the fatal shooting of Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.

6. G20Summit || 4th and final meeting of the G20 Framework Working Group under the Indian G20 Presidency concluded in Raipur.

The meeting was co-chaired by India and the UK. Around 65 delegates from G20 members and invitee countries.

1. 🇵🇰 Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry dismissed a report claiming that the country sold its weapons to 🇺🇦Ukraine to secure an emergency bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

2. The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for major reforms in global institutions, including UN Security Council, to be able to address modern challenges.

3. 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan’s defence ministry has said that it has begun “anti-terrorist” operations in its breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh under 🇦🇲Armenians control.

4. The International Committee of the Red Cross had sent humanitarian convoys to the breakaway Karabakh region from Armenia and Azerbaijan simultaneously, reopening the road link to Armenia blockaded since December.

5. Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi returned to the 🇦🇪UAE after a historic six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Al Neyadi’s mission of 186 days aboard the ISS was the longest by an Arab astronaut, and he made history during his time on the ISS by becoming the first Arab astronaut to perform a spacewalk.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum hailed Al Neyadi as an inspiration to young people across the UAE and the world.

6. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has said it experienced a cyberattack last week after hackers accessed its internal systems.

The ICC, headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, is the only permanent war crimes tribunal. Established in 2002, the court is currently investigating crimes against humanity in Ukraine.
