1. Maldives newly elected President Mohamed Muizzu, formally requested India Saturday to withdraw Indian troops from his strategically located archipelago, fulfilling an election pledge on his first day in office.
2. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju called on Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and reiterated India’s commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
3. India and Australia will hold their second 2+2 dialogue of defence and foreign ministers on November 20 to advance cooperation on shared regional interests in areas ranging from defence to technology and to deepen trade and investment ties.

1. SpaceX lost communication with its Starship rocket minutes after entering space, for the first time, during its second launch attempt.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk made another attempt to launch the groundbreaking rocket, Starship, after the April setback. The rocket’s initial flight in April garnered attention for all the wrong reasons, as it lost control and exploded just four minutes after takeoff in Texas.
2. Following the recent airstrike by the Myanmar army in the bordering areas of Myanmar, the situation is still tense, but there has been no report of any fresh violent incidents along the Indo-Myanmar border.
3. At least 50 were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the al-Fakhoora School, operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza on Saturday.
4. United States has announced new sanctions against Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS) and its secretary-general, Hashim Finyan Rahim al-Saraji, designating them as ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorists’, The Times of Israel reported.
5. 6. Australian government today said that it expressed serious concerns to China after an unsafe and unprofessional interaction between an Australian navy vessel and a Chinese warship in Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
