3. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed strengthening economic and financial relations in order to promote bilateral investment and trade between the countries.

1. 21 people killed after fire breaks out in hospital in Beijing.

3. Sudanese armed forces and rebel forces agreed to a temporary, 24-hour ceasefire on Tuesday. The move came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged warring factions to ensure the safety of civilians. Over 185 people have been killed, including an Indian national.

4. Noel Hanna, a mountaineer from Northern Ireland, who had climbed Mount Everest 10 times, died while descending from the summit of the world’s 10th highest peak, Annapurna in Nepal. Hanna scaled the 8,091 metres Annapurna peak on Monday and died overnight in Camp IV after descending from the peak. Indian climber Anurag Malu is missing on the same mountain.

5. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has said that China has banned senior executives of Raytheon Missiles & Defense and Lockheed Martin Corp from entering. Both firms have been involved in arms sales to Taiwan for a long time.
