1. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for de-escalation in the tensions between India and China.

2. The Development Working Group – DWG of the G20 held discussions on ‘Accelerating Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals’.

The second day of the three-day meeting being held in Mumbai began with a video message by India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra.

The widespread discussions included topics like digital transformation, green transitions, and women-led development.

3. Minister of State for Earth Sciences Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that India is not reliant on China for accessing rare earth minerals.

4. External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar is presiding over two High-Level Ministerial signature events of India’s ongoing Presidency of the United Nations Security Council in New York.
