Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un met at a remote space centre in Russia’s Far East region Amur on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Vlad and Kim are expected to discuss a potential arms deal, resulting in North Korea supplying weapons to Russia for its ongoing conflict with Ukraine and signaling a unified front against the West.

1. Gopal Baglay has been appointed as India’s next High Commissioner to Australia, the Ministry of External Affairs informed.

1. The transit border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is still shut as talks between the two sides remained inconclusive. The border which was closed on September 6 due to Pakistan and Afghanistan army clashes and exchange of fire caused suffering to hundreds of travellers and trucks which were stuck on the border.

2. The Pakistan government fears an oil crisis as retail outlets of some oil marketing companies (OMCs) were reportedly found dry at a few locations in the country.
