More Gaza hospitals suspend operations as Israel hunts Hamas
Two more major hospitals in Gaza closed to new patients on Sunday (Nov 12), with staff saying that Israeli bombardment plus lack of fuel and medicine meant more babies and others could die.
Hospitals in the north of the Palestinian enclave are blockaded by Israeli forces and barely able to care for those inside, medical staff said. Israel says it is homing in on Hamas militants in the area and the hospitals should be evacuated

Addressing the Indian diaspora at the temple, Jaishankar extended his Diwali greetings to the gathering and expressed the joy of being present “among our own people” during the festive season.
6. The Deputy Commissioner at the New York City Mayor’s office, Dilip Chauhan, on Saturday lauded the city’s office decision to announce Diwali as a public school holiday for the first time. Mr Chauhan said that the decision was the result of years of dedicated advocacy by the Indian diaspora and the Indian-American community.

1. Three Pakistan police personnel, including a station house officer (SHO), were killed and five others including a deputy superintendent of police sustained injuries after a terrorist attack on police in the Kari Shah Noor area of Pakistan.

4. The Israeli military said it killed a senior Hamas commander Ahmed Siam in an airstrike, who was responsible for holding approximately 1,000 people and patients as hostages in a Gaza hospital and not allowing them to escape to their safety.
5. Cox’s Bazar, a popular tourist destination of Bangladesh, got its railway connectivity. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated the much-awaited 102-kilometre Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar dual-gauge single railway line at a ceremony at newly constructed Cox’s Bazar Railway Station.
6. Russia on November 12 accused Ukraine of carrying out a series of attacks in the border regions of Bryansk and Belgorod, damaging five train carriages and causing one injury.
