1. The first Development Working Group Meeting during India’s Presidency will be held in Mumbai from today.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will be visiting New York to preside over two High-Level Ministerial signature events of India’s ongoing Presidency of the United Nations Security Council on the 14th and 15th of this month.

3. Trade Secretary of UK, Kemi Badenoch is scheduled to meet Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi yesterday for the sixth round of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) discussions between India and UK.

The FTA is expected to facilitate the target of doubling bilateral trade between India and UK by 2030. It will increase India’s exports in Leather, Textile, Jewellery and processed Agri products.

4. An Uttar Pradesh government delegation will visit US’ New York and San Francisco this week to attract investors for the state under ‘Invest UP’.

1. United States of America’s Finance Ministry has printed the first US currency notes with two women’s signatures. The new currency notes of $1 and $5 value carry the signature of the Secretary of Treasury (American Finance Minister) Janet Yellen and Lynn Malerba.

2. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carried into space the first ever Arab-built lunar spacecraft on 11 Dec. It was launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

3. Eight Pakistan civilians, 1 Afghan soldier killed in cross-border clash on Sunday.

4. Supporters of far-right Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Monday attempted to invade the federal police headquarters in the capital Brasilia, in a flash of post-election violence on the day the president’s electoral defeat was certified. Federal police said “disturbances” near the headquarters were being handled with support from capital security forces.

5. BTS member Jin goes to frontline boot camp for military duty. Jin, the oldest member of K-pop supergroup BTS, is set to enter a frontline South Korean boot camp to start his 18 months of mandatory military service.
