1. India and US reaffirm their commitment to promote regional stability and rule of law at fourth 22 Ministerial Dialogue.

5. 11000 MT rice from India reached Colombo (Sri Lanka) by ship Chen Glory on 12 Apr ahead of New Year celebration in Sri Lanka. 16,000 MT of rice was supplied by India to Sri Lanka in the past week itself.

6. All four contestants who represented India at the 11th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad held in Hungary during April 6-12 have won bronze medals. Pune’s Ananya Rajas Ranade, Delhi’s Anushka Aggarwal and Gunjan Aggarwal, and Nashik’s Sanika Borade won the medals. It marks India’s best performance to date and the first time India has come in the top 20 countries.

7. Newly-elected Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday thanked PM Narendra Modi for congratulating him and said that his country desires peaceful and cooperative ties with India.

8. India on Tuesday handed over to Cambodia 325,000 doses of Made in India Covishield vaccines under the Quad Vaccine Partnership scheme.

2. Nepal restricts imports of non-essential goods after its foreign currency reserves dropped.

3. Several people were shot at in a subway station in New York’s Brooklyn: A masked gunman set off a smoke bomb and opened fire in a New York City subway car on Tuesday, injuring at least 16 people and throwing the morning commute into chaos in the latest violence in the city’s transit system.

The Incident was not currently being investigated as an act of terrorism. The suspect reportedly escaped the spot and was wearing a construction vest and a gas mask.

5. The World Bank is preparing a nearly $1.5 billion aid package for Ukraine to support the continuation of essential government services, its President David Malpass said.

6. Spain’s High Court on Tuesday sentenced a 65-year-old man to seven-and-a-half years in prison for threatening to assassinate Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on a far-right WhatsApp chat in 2018 and possessing illegal guns. Manuel Murillo Sanchez was sentenced to two-and-a-half years for attempted murder and five years for possession of war weapons.

7. The Mayor of Bucha in Ukraine, Anatoliy Fedoruk, on Tuesday said that 403 bodies of people have been found in the town so far, following a retreat by Russian forces last month. Ukraine has accused Russian forces of killing civilians during their occupation of Bucha.
