1. United States of America (USA) became the 101st member country to join International Solar Alliance (ISA).
USA joined ISA as member country to accelerate the global adoption of solar energy. This announcement was made at UNFCCC COP26 on November 10, 2021. Now, USA will catalyse global energy transition through solar-led approach.
2. India and Israel on 9 November signed a bilateral innovation agreement (BIA) to promote innovation and accelerated research and development (R&D) in startups and MSMEs of both countries for the development of dual use technologies.
3. Union Health Ministry has issued a new list of guidelines for international arrivals. These guidelines will be valid with effect from tomorrow till further orders. All travellers will have to submit self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel. They should upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report and the test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey.
4. The High Commission of India in Bangladesh on Thursday organised a get together of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) alumni of Bangladesh who had studied in India and attended professional courses in Indian institutions of excellence. The get together was organised on the occasion of the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister and ICCR Founder President Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

6. India on Thursday slammed the reported construction of a border village by China in Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh that has been under Chinese occupation for more than 60 years. New Delhi said that China has been carrying out construction activity in border areas, including in Indian territory illegally occupied for decades, adding that India “has always conveyed its strong protest to such activities through diplomatic means and will continue to do so in the future”.

1. The Golden jubilee celebration of Bangladesh’s independence {1971-2021} will start on December 16. The two day event on Dec. 16-17 will be held at the South Plaza of Bangladesh parliament Jatiya Sangsad. Folk fair will be held between November 24-29 at the birthplace of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj.
2. The US, UAE, Bahrain and Israel kicked off their first-ever publicly acknowledged joint naval exercise this week in the Red Sea. The five-day operation focuses on interdiction and search and seizure tactics in order to build cooperative know-how among the four navies.
