1. Foreign Affairs Minister of Maldives Abdulla Shahid arrived in New Delhi is on a three day official visit to India.

2. India and Malaysia reviewed the diverse pillars of the extensive bilateral defence engagement. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh met Malaysian counterpart Mohamad Hasan in Kuala Lumpur and discussed the roadmap for the 4th Decade of India-Malaysia Defence Cooperation.

3. As part of India’s G20 presidency, the third Trade and Investment Working Group Meeting began in Kevadia. More than 75 international delegates from various G20 countries are taking part in the three-day meeting at Kevadiya.

4. Director of IIT Madras Prof. V. Kamakoti said that opening up the first IIT international campus in Zanzibar, Tanzania is a major milestone in the history of the institute.

5. The Minister of Commerce & Industry has permitted the extension of potato imports from Bhutan without any licensing requirement until June 2024.

6. India has joined the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group (GCRG) at the invitation of the UN Secretary-General. The GCRG was established in March 2022 to address urgent global issues in food security, energy, and finance, and to coordinate a global response.

7. Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe to visit India, to be the first visit to India since being appointed President.

1. New Zealand Prime Minister Hipkins signs ‘ambitious’ trade deal with EU. The European Union is already New Zealand’s third biggest trade partner.

2. US President Joe Biden met King Charles III on Monday to discuss how to tackle climate change after earlier dropping in to see PM Rishi Sunak and hail the countries’ “rock-solid” friendship. Notably, Biden had skipped King Charles III’s coronation in May. Biden, who is on a three-nation trip, will next travel to Lithuania for the upcoming NATO summit.

3. Two controversial laws signed by Bosnian Serb President Milorad Dodik entered into force.
