1. Six Indian students participating in 63rd International Maths Olympiad, which is being held in Oslo. The Olympiad will run for two days on July 11 and 12. Over 100 countries are participating in the olympiad.

2. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Kyiv’s ambassador to India on Saturday as well as several other foreign envoys, the presidential website said. In a decree that gave no reason for the move.

3. Supreme Court will deliver its verdict on July 11 on a petition by jailed gangster Abu Salem who has contended that his prison term cannot exceed 25 years under the extradition treaty between India and Portugal.

4. Nation observed one day of State Mourning throughout India on Saturday as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe who was assassinated at a political campaign in Nara city of Japan on 08 Jul.

5. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar visited Embassy of Japan to convey his condolences to Ambassador Satoshi Suzuki on the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

6. PM Modi met Professor of Economics and Government at London School of Economics Nicholas Stern in New Delhi and discussed diverse issues.

1. Ranil Wickremesinghe on Saturday announced his resignation as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka to make way for an all-party government to take over in the country.

2. Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has agreed to step down on July 13, according to the Speaker of the Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana.

Rajapaksa has faced a wave of anti-government protests amid a worsening economic crisis. Earlier on Saturday, reports had said that Rajapaksa ran away after protestors surrounded his residence.
