1. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on 05 Apr spoke with External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar to review regional and global priorities, including the situation in Ukraine.
India and United States are scheduled to hold a 2+2 dialogue in Washington on April 11.
2. India is unlikely to follow the American advice on pursuing an alternative option to defence and energy procurement from Russia, a leading American global strategy and commercial diplomacy firm said.

1. Czech Republic sends tanks to Ukraine in latest military aid. Several NATO countries have responded to Ukraine’s request for military aid to fight Russian forces invading the country.
2. The US on Tuesday said that it’s deeply concerned over Sri Lanka’s economic crisis and urged authorities to exercise constraint.
3. Finland and Sweden would be welcomed in NATO by member countries if the two Nordic nations decided to join the alliance, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.

5. China harvesting organs from living prisoners for transplants, Research by Australian National University’s Mathew Robertson. He found it’s likely some prisoners, often from marginalised political groups, are likely to have been operated on while still alive. After analysing data from transplant publications, he found in 71 reports that ‘brain death couldn’t have properly been declared.
