1. Airlines can now operate a maximum of 65% of their pre-Covid domestic flights instead of the 50 per cent allowed till date, the civil aviation ministry.

2. General MM Naravane, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is on an official 4-day visit to the United Kingdom & Italy from July 5-July 8, 2021. During the visit, he will be meeting his counterparts and senior military leaders of the two countries with an aim of enhancing India’s defence cooperation.

5. Today birthday of The 14th Dalai Lama (religious name: Tenzin Gyatso, born 0n 06 July 1935) turns 86: He is the current Dalai Lama. Dalai Lamas are important monks of the Gelug school, the newest school of Tibetan Buddhism, which was formally headed by the Ganden Tripas. From the time of the 5th Dalai Lama to 1959, the central government of Tibet, the Ganden Phodrang, invested the position of Dalai Lama with temporal duties. His was escaped from the Chinese annexation of Tibet in March 1959 and came into India.

6. India received 2600 kilos of delicious mangoes from Bangladesh as a memento of friendship between the two neighbouring countries on 04 Jul.
