1. The bilateral meeting of External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar with his Chinese counterpart, Qin Gang, concluded on Thursday. The discussions focussed on resolving outstanding issues and ensuring “peace and tranquility” in the border areas.
2. Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Goa on Thursday afternoon to attend the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the SCO member states.Zardari, the first Pakistani foreign minister to visit India in almost 12 years.
3. UAE Ambassador Abdulnasser Alshaali on Thursday arrived at the Shangai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Foreign Minister’s meeting venue in Goa.The UAE is set to soon become a dialogue partner in the SCO grouping.Currently, eight countries enjoy the status of the SCO full members: India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
4. A total of 3,584 Indians have been evacuated from the strife-torn Sudan under “Operation Kaveri” which completed nine days of operations on 04 May (Thursday).

King Charles became the monarch of the United Kingdom and 14 other realms following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth in September.
