1. PM Modi chaired a meeting to review the Ukraine- situation. The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Dr S Jaishankar and Piyush Goyal along with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

2. Russia-Ukraine crisis: Nearly 10800 Indians brought back by special flights under Operation Ganga so far.

3. External Affairs Ministry has said, over 20 thousand Indians have left the Ukraine’s borders so far. Official Spokesperson of External Affairs Ministry, Arindam Bagchi said, 18 flights have landed in India in the last 24 hours carrying around four thousand Indians on board. He added that a total of 48 flights have been landed so far from Ukraine’s neigbouring countries.

4. Around 300 Indians stuck in Kharkiv, 700 in Sumy: India is primarily focusing on evacuating its nationals from the conflict zones of Kharkiv and Sumy in eastern Ukraine, the ministry of external affairs said.

5. PM Modi participated in a virtual summit of Quad leaders, along with US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Developments in Ukraine were discussed at the meeting, including its humanitarian implications. Mr Modi emphasised the need to return to a path of dialogue and diplomacy.

PM Modi says Quad must remain focused on promoting peace, stability and prosperity in Indo-Pacific region; Also stresses on need for dialogue, diplomacy amid Russia-Ukraine conflict.

1. UNHRC : UN Human Rights Council votes for formation of commission of inquiry to monitor alleged human rights violations by Russian army in Ukraine. The UN’s top human rights body has voted overwhelmingly to appoint a three-person panel of experts to monitor human rights in Ukraine, where Russia launched military operations.

2. Russia has taken control of a nuclear power station in Ukraine after it was hit by shelling. A fire broke out at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant – the largest in Europe – and Ukraine said it was shelled by Russian troops. Authorities say the facility is now safe and radiation levels are normal.

5. In Pakistan, a powerful bomb exploded inside a Shiite Muslim mosque in northwestern city of Peshawar 04 Mar. At least 56 worshippers were killed and 194 wounded, many of them critically, police said.
