1. Border Security Force (BSF) has shot dead a Pakistani intruder in the Ferozepur sector during the wee hours yesterday.

2. Indian Armed Forces neutralise Pakistan’s attempt to engage a number of military targets in northern and western parts of the country.

3. In retaliation with same intensity, Indian forces target air defence radars and systems at many locations in Pakistan, destroying Air Defence system at Lahore.

4. Defence Minister says, Operation Sindoor was successfully executed because our Armed Forces were equipped with high-quality equipment. India Uses S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ Air Defence System, HARPY Drones to Counter Pak Missile attack.

5. Martyred soldier cremated with full state honours : Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma, a valiant soldier from village Nagla Mohammadpur in Palwal district, who attained martyrdom in a cross-border attack in Poonch was cremated with full state honours.

6. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told an all-party meeting on Thursday that at least 100 hardcore terrorists and their associates were killed in Indian strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) under the ongoing Operation Sindoor.

7. A Pakistani pilot has reportedly been captured as India’s counter-attack on Pakistan intensified late Thursday. Government sources confirmed missile strikes on multiple locations including Lahore and Islamabad. A blackout has been reported across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

8. Abdul Rauf Azhar, the operational head of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and the mastermind behind the 1999 Indian Airlines IC-814 hijacking, was killed in Indian airstrikes during Operation Sindoor.

9. In 2020, the Supreme Court, while advocating for Permanent Commission for women in the Indian Army, highlighted Colonel Sofia Qureshi’s achievements. Col Qureshi, along with Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, recently briefed the media on ‘Operation Sindoor,’ following India’s retaliatory missile strikes on terror targets.

Colonel Qureshi, who is married to Ghaus Sab Bagewadi’s son Tajuddin Bagewadi, holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman officer to lead the military contingent at the ASEAN Plus Multinational Military Exercise ‘Force 18’.

The house of Mohammed Ghaus Sab Bagewadi’s in the sleepy village of Konnur in Belagavi district has transformed into a centre of national pride, drawing visitors and well-wishers, after his daughter-in-law Colonel Sofia Qureshi appeared on television to brief about ‘Operation Sindoor’ carried out by the Indian armed forces to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack.

10. The Indian military began its exercises in the Arabian Sea on May 8, while the Pakistani military is set to start drills in Gwadar from May 9; both forces will conduct exercises facing each other for four consecutive days.
