The safari is expected to be operational within a year, featuring several nocturnal species and is expected to run between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
12. The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a pioneering AI-based mosquito control programme named the Smart Mosquito Surveillance System (SMoSS). This innovative initiative aims to monitor and reduce mosquito populations efficiently during the monsoon season. It is the first of its kind in India to integrate artificial intelligence with public health vector control.

In a breakthrough under Operation Chakra-V, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) busted a sophisticated cybercrime syndicate operating from Noida that was allegedly duping citizens of the United Kingdom and Australia through tech support scams. The syndicate’s key operative, Nishant Walia, a partner in the firm FirstIdea, was arrested during the operation and is being produced before the Special CBI Court.
3. The Government said that it has not issued any fresh blocking order and has no intention to block any prominent international News Channels including Reuters and ReutersWorld. The Ministry of Electronics and IT said, the moment Reuters and ReutersWorld were blocked on the X platform in India, the government immediately wrote to ‘X’ to unblock them.
4. A BJP fact-finding team has recommended a probe by a central agency into the gang rape of a law student in Kolkata, claiming the state police’s way of handling the case raises suspicion of attempts being made to save the culprits.

1. Three students were killed and five students were injured yesterday when a school van was hit by the Villupuram-Mayiladuthurai passenger train between Cuddalore and Alapakkam in Tamil Nadu.
2. Three personnel of Central Reserve Police Force suffered injuries in an IED blast triggered by Maoists in insurgency-hit Bijapur district in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday evening. Condition of two jawans was stated to be critical while another was out of danger.

1. Tata Steel has signed an agreement with Australia’s InQuik Group to bring modular bridge technology to India. The plan is to use InQuik’s prefabricated steel formwork, which speeds up bridge building and keeps costs low. The move will help link remote regions and strengthen transport links.

Netflix and the company which produced the documentary were sent a legal notice from the makers of the 2005 hit film Chandramukhi for using footage from the film in the series without permission.

2. User trials of Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) were successfully carried out from INS Kavaratti from June 23, 2025 to July 07, 2025. DRDO’s Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, in association with High Energy Materials Research Laboratory and Naval Science & Technological Laboratory, has designed and developed ERASR for indigenous rocket launcher (IRL) of Indian Naval Ships.
3. The Japan Coast Guard Ship JCGS Itsukushima arrived at the Chennai Port on Monday (July 7, 2025) as part of its ‘Global Ocean Voyage Training’ programme.
4. The Defence Ministry has agreed to allow utilisation of the compensation amount of ₹303.62 crore — to be paid by the Telangana Government towards acquisition of land for constructing the proposed elevated corridors — for improving the civic infrastructure in the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB).
