1. The centre has concluded the auction of 8 Critical and Strategic Mineral Blocks under Tranche IV. These blocks are in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Arunachal Pradesh. These blocks contain deposits of strategic minerals such as phosphate, graphite, and vanadium, essential for high-tech and green energy applications.

1. The Supreme Court held that recruitment rules for appointments in government jobs cannot be changed midway unless it is prescribed. The Supreme Court also ruled that appointment criteria for public sector jobs cannot be altered during the process unless specifically permitted. Any permitted changes must comply with Article 14 of the Constitution and demonstrate non-arbitrariness.
