Bollywood has reacted to India’s overnight strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and parts of Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, with actors Riteish Deshmukh, Nimrat Kaur and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar hailing the Indian Army on social media. “Jai Hind Ki Sena… Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!! #OperationSindoor,” Deshmukh wrote.

1. Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor targeting nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Army, Navy and the Air Force, in a historic tri-services operation, conducted precision strikes at 1:44 am on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir in response to the Pahalgam attack in which 26 civilians were killed on April 22.
2. India’s Pinaka Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) system stands as a significant achievement in indigenous defence manufacturing, symbolizing the country’s push for self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) in the strategic sector.
3. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared the country’s defence “in strong hands” following a second missile test conducted by the military amid escalating tensions with India.The announcement came on Monday after the successful training launch of a surface-to-surface ballistic missile from the Fatah series, with a reported range of 120 kilometres, as part of Exercise Indus.
4. The Haryana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has approved a significant policy decision to grant an ex-gratia payment of ₹1 crore to the next of kin of martyred Agniveers from the state.
This move extends the existing benefit-previously available to families of battle casualties in the defence and paramilitary forces-to Agniveers.
5. In the wake of a coordinated wave of cyberattacks targeting Indian defence-linked websites, the Indian Army has moved swiftly to reinforce its digital security infrastructure.
6. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in partnership with the Indian Navy, has achieved a significant milestone with the successful combat firing (using reduced explosive) of the indigenous Multi-Influence Ground Mine (MIGM).
This advanced underwater naval mine was developed by the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam.
7. The Indian Army has received new supplies of the Russian-origin Igla-S missiles as part of a contract executed under emergency procurement powers granted by the central government. These Very Short Range Air Defence Systems (VSHORADS) were delivered a couple of weeks ago and are being rapidly distributed to forward formations along the border areas.
