1. Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde resigned from the state cabinet on Tuesday, March 4, days after his close aide, Walmik Karad, was named as the mastermind in the Beed sarpanch murder case.
Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan has accepted the resignation of State Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Dhananjay Munde as per the recommendation of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
2. Kannada film actor Ranya Rao, 33, was allegedly caught red-handed while trying to smuggle 14.8 kg of gold, worth over ₹ 12 crore from Dubai, at Kempegowda International Airport on Sunday evening.
Ranya Rao is the stepdaughter of senior Indian Police Service officer from Karnataka, K. Ramachandra Rao. Mr. Rao is serving as Director-General of Police, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation.
3. The Central Bureau of Investigation CBI busted a Departmental Examination Paper Leak Scam under the East Central Railway at Mughal Sarai, Uttar Pradesh.

1. Telangana tunnel collapse: Rescue operations underway, damaged conveyor made operational. The conveyor belt at the partially collapsed SLBC tunnel, under which eight persons are trapped for the past 11 days, was repaired and made operational on Tuesday.
2. In Jammu and Kashmir, due to heavy rainfall last evening, a landslide occurred in the Mehad area in the Ramban district, causing the closure of the 270-kilometer-long strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44).
3. 718 tourists, including seven foreigners, have been evacuated from the Spiti valley to Kinnaur (Himachal) in the past two days, These tourists were stranded in Spiti since February 26 due to heavy snowfall. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) managed to restore road connectivity from Kaza to Kinnaur, enabling the evacuation process.

1. The Indian Navy has once again commenced its flagship event, the Theatre Level Operational Readiness Exercise, or, in abbreviation, TROPEX, in the year 2025, and it is confident of displaying the desired level of military skill in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). This exercise, held from January to March 2025, takes place every alternate year. It showcases India’s naval prowess and scope while also highlighting the contextual relevance and significance of these military activities.
2. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh presented the report of the Empowered Committee for Capability Enhancement of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. The Committee has identified key thrust areas and made recommendations for short, medium and long-term implementation to achieve the desired capability enhancement goals of the lAF.

The TEJAS MK-2 is poised to join the private production race in India’s defence aviation sector, following in the footsteps of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) and the TEJAS MK-1.This strategic shift towards private sector involvement aims to accelerate production and enhance operational readiness for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
