1. Police in Rayachoti, Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh, foiled a major terror plot with the arrest of two long-absconding terror suspects—Abu Bakr Siddiq alias Amanullah and Mohammad Ali alias Mansoor—linked to the banned outfit Al-Ummah.Acting on intelligence, a joint operation by the Tamil Nadu Anti-Terrorism Squad and Annamayya police led to their arrest on 30 June 2025.
2. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a key accused in connection with the killing of Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha member Praveen Nettaru. As per NIA, the accused arrested has been identified as Abdul Rahaman and was taken into custody by its team at the Kannur International Airport on his arrival from Qatar. The accused had been absconding for the last two years.
3. Krishna Janmabhoomi Case: Allahabad High Court rejects plea to refer to ‘Eidgah Mosque’ as ‘disputed structure’ in all future proceedings.
4. In a major crackdown on illegal arms hoarders, a team of Manipur Police and other security agencies conducted a massive search operation in the hill districts of Manipur from midnight of 3rd July till early this morning and recovered 203 illegal arms.

Approved during the ESIC’s 196th meeting in Shimla, SPREE 2025 will be active from 1st July to 31st December 2025. It provides a unique opportunity for unregistered employers and employees to enroll without facing inspections or demands for past dues.

1. India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the development of the K-5 submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM), marking a significant advancement in the country’s nuclear deterrence capabilities.
2. India is preparing to launch a $234 million (₹1,998 crore) incentive program over three years to accelerate domestic drone manufacturing for both civil and military applications.
3. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to achieve a significant milestone in India’s indigenous fighter aircraft program with the rollout of the first TEJAS MK-1A from its Nashik production facility by the end of July 2025.HAL Chairman and Managing Director DK Sunil confirmed.
4. The Indian Navy is set to bolster its maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare capabilities with the imminent procurement of six additional P-8I Neptune maritime patrol aircraft from Boeing. This acquisition is part of India’s ongoing efforts to modernise its naval aviation fleet and enhance its operational reach across the Indian Ocean Region.
5. Indian Army has awarded a contract worth ₹300 crore (approximately $35 million) to Delhi-based defence manufacturer SMPP Pvt. Ltd.The contract, executed under emergency procurement procedures, covers the supply of 27,700 advanced bulletproof jackets and 11,700 ballistic helmets.
