5. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, in collaboration with the Department of Panchayati Raj, Government of Jharkhand, organized a day-long national-level program under the initiative ‘Hamari Parampara Hamari Virasat’ in New Delhi.

6. India will launch a pioneering inter-ministerial scientific study to address zoonotic spillover risks at the human- wildlife- environment interface. This unique study will be conducted in select bird sanctuaries and wetlands across Sikkim, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, leveraging the One Health approach to monitor the health of both human populations and migratory bird species.

7. The Union Cabinet has approved four projects of Ministry of Railways with total cost of 18 thousand 658 crore rupees. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, the projects covers 15 Districts in three States Maharashtra, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh and will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 1247 Kilometres.

8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the passage of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and the Mussalman Wakf (Repeal) Bill by both Houses of Parliament marks a watershed moment in the government’s collective quest for socio-economic justice, transparency, and inclusive growth.

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of seven women laborers in an accident in Nanded district. He announced an ex-gratia of 2 lakh rupees for the next of kin of each deceased and 50 thousand rupees for each injured.

The accident occurred this morning when a tractor carrying farm laborers plunged into a well. Seven women lost their lives in the incident. Two women and one man were rescued.

2. Madhya Pradesh, 8 persons died due to suffocation from poisonous gas in a well at Kondavat village in Khandwa district.
