1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil various youth-focused initiatives worth over 62 thousand crore today from New Delhi.

3. Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda presided over AIIMS Bilaspur’s 3rd Foundation Day in Himachal Pradesh, lauding its rapid growth into a trusted healthcare centre. In just three years, the institute now offers MRI, PET-CT, cancer care, renal transplants, and nuclear medicine. Mr Nadda announced 127 new faculty posts and swift recruitments. A 500-bed Vishram Sadan, hostels, staff quarters, and an indoor stadium were also announced.
4. Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah says India’s dairy sector witnessed tremendous growth of 70 percent in the last 11 years; Inaugurates Sabar Dairy plant at Rohtak, Haryana.
5. The central government has released the second instalment of a grant amounting to 14 crore 40 lakh rupees under the Fifteenth Finance Commission for rural local bodies in Mizoram for 2025-26. Panchayati Raj Ministry said that these grants will benefit all 808 eligible Village Councils in the State.
6. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth approximately 825 crore rupees in Kurukshetra. These included the foundation stone laying of 11 projects, including five nursing colleges, 84 residences at Jind Police Line, the inauguration of the Pediatric Rest House in Narnaul, and the 300-bed Assandh Sub-Divisional Hospital.
7. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that India is moving towards becoming a developed nation. He said that when the centenary of independence will be celebrated, Khadi will have an important contribution in it. The Union Minister was interacting with the artisans at the Khadi Karigar Mahotsav organized at Maharshi Dayanand University campus in Rohtak.
8. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar transferred an amount of 10 thousand rupees each into the bank accounts of 25 lakh women beneficiaries under the recently launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana. A total of two thousand 500 crore rupees was transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
9. The Bihar state government has also doubled the scholarships given to students from Class 1 to Class 8. Students from Classes 1 to 5 will now receive an annual scholarship of 1,200 rupees instead of 600 rupees. Similarly, students from Classes 5 to 6 will receive 2,400 rupees instead of 1,200 rupees. The scholarship for students of Classes 7 to 8 has been doubled from 1,800 rupees to 3,600 rupees annually.
10. Bihar Govt Approves 3% Hike in Dearness Allowance, Relief for Over 10 Lakh Employees and Pensioners. The decision was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
11. The Maharashtra government has launched the E-Bond system for import and export businesses, replacing traditional stamp paper bonds.
12. Telangana state will soon get four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), taking the total number of such schools in the state to 39. Union Coal Mines Minister, G Kishan Reddy, announced the sanction of these schools and said the move will expand access to quality primary and secondary education, especially in remote and underserved areas. The new schools will come up at Aspirational District, Bhadradri Kothagudem headquarters, Tribal area, Mulugu district headquarters, Chelgal in Jagtial Rural Mandal, and Nagavaram Sivar in Wanaparthy district.
13. The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has extended the services of special train between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Banihal – Katra for four days starting from tomorrow. The decision was taken to meet the increasing passenger demand and ensure smooth travel.
14. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat, has completed its 11th year yesterday. On the same day in 2014, the first episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was broadcast on Akashvani, on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
15. The Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh has recently adopted advanced technology to monitor its growing elephant population. The newly launched ‘Gaj Rakshak’ mobile application offers real-time tracking and timely alerts to prevent human-elephant conflicts.
16. Vice President C P Radhakrishnan will be holding his first formal meeting within a month of his assuming charge as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha with some floor leaders of various parties on October 7.

1. The Centre has issued an advisory to all States and Union Territories on rational use of cough syrups in paediatric population. Union Health Ministry has advised that Cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children below two years.
2. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has extended the autopsy report of late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg to the High Commission of India in Singapore. According to a statement issued by the police, a copy of the autopsy report, along with their preliminary findings on his passing, has been handed over to the Indian authorities. The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Assam police arrested Zubeen Garg’s co-musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and co-singer Amritprava Mahanta, taking the total arrests in the case to four.
3. Expressing solidarity with the people of Ladakh, especially famed Ladakhi environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk, for their demand for granting 6th Schedule status to Ladakh and constitutional protection of their environment, the North East Human Rights (NEHR) on Thursday organized a candlelight march in Itanagar.
4. In Leh district of Ladakh Union Territory, all schools from Kindergarten to upper primary school have been reopened. The Leh District Magistrate has granted permission in this regard along with the plying of mini buses and other vehicles for public transport after nine days of imposition of Bharat Nyay Samhita Section 163 since 24th of last month. The peaceful protest on the demand of statehood for Ladakh and its inclusion in the sixth schedule turned violent causing loss of lives of four protesters and dozens other injured including security personnel.

1. Six children die in Chhindwara as toxic cough syrup kidney failure : A concerning report comes from Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh, where cases of kidney disease among children are steadily increasing. So far, six children have died from this illness, while several others are in critical condition and admitted to major hospitals in Jabalpur and Nagpur. The affected children are between 1 and 5 years old.
2. At least three persons drowned in the Arabian Sea in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra yesterday, while one person, who was part of the group, was rescued but later succumbed to injuries during treatment.

3. :A movie theatre in Canada’s Ontario province has pulled several screenings of Indian films after it became the target of arson and shooting attacks on two separate occasions in the past week. Authorities at Film.ca Cinemas in Oakville linked the attacks to theatre showings of South Asian films and withdrew the screenings of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 and Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG from the theatre.

1. ‘Pakistan will have to consider if it wants to remain part of globe’: Army Chief warns against testing India’s resolve. General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff, on Friday issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying that in case of another conflict, India will not exercise the restraint that it showed during “Operation Sindoor 1.0”.
2. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Amarpreet Singh, has said that Operation Sindoor will be remembered as a conflict that achieved its objectives with speed and precision, and the operation brought Pakistan to its knees. Addressing the annual presser on 93rd Air Force Day Anniversary Celebrations in New Delhi. The Indian Air Force will mark its 93rd anniversary on the 8th of October this year.
3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said the country’s defence exports will touch 50 thousand crore rupees by 2029 from the current 24 thousand crore rupees. He said the defence exports were mere 600 crore rupees 11 years ago and exuded confidence that the day is not far off when India becomes the factory of the world.
4. HAL has successfully completed the weapons integration trials of the TEJAS MK-1A fighter aircraft, including the firing of key air-to-air missiles Astra and ASRAAM. These trials mark an important milestone in validating the aircraft’s advanced combat capabilities and weapon systems integration.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has initiated the development of a High-Power Electromagnetic (HPEM) payload designed for deployment on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).The payload, weighing under 15 kg, is being engineered to provide a lightweight yet potent counter-drone solution suitable for both military and strategic applications.
6. Nigeria is close to finalising a deal for four HAL Prachand Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) under a soft credit arrangement extended by India. This marks a significant breakthrough for India’s indigenous combat helicopter program in Africa.
