Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh on Sunday inflicting a resounding defeat on the Congress to tighten its stranglehold in the Hindi heartland, setting the tone for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress, meanwhile, ousted the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in Telangana.

2. MIZORAM ASSEMBLY ELECTION RESULTS 2023 : Counting for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly Elections is scheduled to commence at 8 am on Monday (December 4, 2023), conducted under three-tier security arrangements. A total of 12 counting observers have been appointed by the Election Commission of India (ECI)
3. The Winter Session of Parliament will begin from today (Monday). It will continue till 22nd of December. It will have 15 sittings spread over 19 days. A total of 21 bills are scheduled to be taken up during the Session.

1. The Election Commission on Sunday suspended Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar for alleged violation of the Model Code of conduct and relevant conduct rules during the State assembly election.
Senior Indian Police Service officer Ravi Gupta was given the full additional charge of Director General of Police of Telangana following the suspension of Anjani Kumar. Gupta is currently the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

1. INS Kadmatt, on a long-range operational deployment to the North Pacific Ocean, entered Japan’s Yokosuka for an Operational Turnaround (OTR). The ship will be celebrating India’s Navy Day in the presence of the Indian diaspora at Yokosuka on 04 December.
2. India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant is expected to be operationalised by the end of January, said Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Southern Naval Command (SNC) Vice Admiral M A Hampiholi in Kochi.
3. The government is making all-out efforts to bring back eight former naval personnel from Qatar, who were handed death sentences by a Qatari court, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said.

The Block-III version of the Pakistan-China- developed JF-17 fighter aircraft.
