1. 💐🌸🌜🕌India celebrates Eid ul-Fitr today on March 31 after moon sighting. Eid 2025 will be celebrated across India on 31 March 2025 (Monday), after the Eid-ul-Fitr crescent moon was sighted in all major cities of the country, including New Delhi, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Patna, and Mumbai, among others, on Sunday evening.

The holy month of Ramadan is set to end with Muslims across the globe eagerly anticipating the joyous celebration that marks the end of a month of fasting from dawn to dusk.

2. President SmtvDroupadi Murmu has extended her greetings on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr to all citizens, especially to the Muslim community, living in India and abroad.

3. Highlights PM Mann Ki Baat @ 30 Mar

(a) Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the challenge of textile waste, saying that it has become a major cause of worry for the entire world. Addressing the nation in his Mann Ki Baat programme.

(b) The Prime Minister said, the trend of getting rid of old clothes as soon as possible and buying new ones is increasing all over the world, leading to textile waste. He gave the example of Panipat in Haryana, which is emerging as a global hub for textile recycling.

(c) Speaking about water harvesting, the Prime Minister said, as soon as summer approaches, preparations for saving water begins in many cities and villages. He expressed satisfaction that works related to water harvesting and water conservation have gained new momentum in many states.

He noted that Jal Shakti Ministry and numerous NGOs are working in this direction, and thousands of artificial ponds, check dams, borewell recharge and community soak pits are being constructed in the country. PM Modi also lauded the efforts of the people of Gadag district of Karnataka for reviving a dried up lake. Villagers, and social organizations in the vicinity, managed to clean the garbage and mud in the lake

(d) PM advised students to take up a hobby and do constructive things during their summer vacations. He emphasised that this is the time to inculcate a new hobby and hone skills.

(e) Prine Minister informed young listeners about the special calendar of MY-Bharat, which has been prepared for this summer vacation.

He shared some unique efforts being made through this calendar. In the study tour of MY-Bharat, youth can learn about the function of ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras’. They can undergo a unique experience in the border villages by becoming a part of the Vibrant Village campaign.

(f) Speaking about the recently concluded Khelo India Para Games, the Prime Minister lauded the players for their dedication and talent. He was pleased to note that more players participated in these Games than earlier, which shows the growing popularity of Para Sports. Prime Minister Modi read out an excerpt from the letter written to him by arm wrestler Joby Mathew.

(g) The Prime Minister also spoke about the Fit India Carnival which was organized in Delhi for the first time. About 25 thousand people from different fields participated in it with the goal of staying fit and spreading awareness about fitness.

(h) He praised the remarkable journey of the people who went to Mauritius as indentured laborers from India two centuries ago, highlighting how they have created a unique identity for themselves. He said, these people preserved their heritage and remained connected to their roots.

10. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday extended support to the Mohanlal-starrer L2: Empuraan movie and accused Sangh Parivar of creating an “atmosphere of fear” regarding the stand adopted by its makers against communalism.

11. PM Modi yesterday inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated development projects worth more than 33,700 crores rupees related to power, road, rail, oil & gas, education and housing at Mohbhatta in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh.

12. Advocate Maninderjit Singh Bedi was on Sunday appointed Punjab Advocate-General, hours after senior advocate Gurminder Singh resigned from the post earlier during the day. Bedi is believed to be one of the youngest Advocates-General of Punjab in the recallable past.

1. The Centre extends the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in parts of Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh for six months.

2. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a key accused in connection with the illegal trafficking of a victim to the United States, who was deported back to India earlier this month. The NIA said that the accused Gagandeep Singh was apprehended in the national capital. According to the NIA, the victim was trafficked to the US via donkey route in December last year.

3. Fifty Maoists have surrendered yesterday in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. Out of these, thirteen Maoists had a reward of 68 lakhs rupees declared on their heads.

4. A sharpshooter of the Mukhtar Ansari gang, Anuj Kanaujia was killed in an encounter with a joint team of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Jharkhand Police in Jamshedpur.

5. The bar associations at Calcutta High Court have urged Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna to reconsider and withdraw the recent Collegium recommendation to transfer Delhi High Court judge Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma to Calcutta High Court.

1. In Odisha, 11 coaches of the Bengaluru-Guwahati Kamakhya SuperFast Express derailed at Manguli-Choudwar near the Nergundi railway station in Cuttack district. One passenger from West Bengal died and at least seven passengers were injured, some of them are serious, in this accident.

2. In Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, six people were killed and five others injured when a large tree fell on several vehicles following a landslide near Gurudwara Manikarn Sahib. According to reports, a uprooted by a storm and landslide, fell onto vehicles parked on the road.

1. On the foundation day of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel virtually inaugurated the country’s largest Chlorotoluene plant, established by GACL at Dahej. The newly inaugurated plant, built for Rs 350 crore, boasts an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes and is expected to create around 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.

2. On Eid-Ul-Fitr, banks will remain open for critical transactions on 31 March 2025, despite being a public holiday. The RBI, Income Tax Department, and IRDAI have issued directives to ensure continuity in financial operations, RBI has decided to open banks to balance the financial transactions.

1. The Assam Government has decided not to extend the Section 3 of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958 (Act No. 28 of 1958) beyond 31st March 2025 in Dibrugarh district.

However, the Government of Assam recommended that the “Disturbed Area” status under AFSPA be continued for an additional six months in the three districts of Tinsukia, Charaideo and Sivasagar.

2. Indian Navy Ships Karmuk and LCU 52 will be sailing for Yangon from the Andaman and Nicobar Command to assist in the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations in earthquake-hit Myanmar. These will carry approximately 52 tonnes of relief material, including HADR pallets consisting essential clothing, drinking water, food, medicines, and emergency stores.

3. The Indian Air Force (IAF) will participate in the multinational air exercise INIOCHOS-25, beginning in Greece on Monday. The 12-day exercise, hosted by Greece’s Hellenic Air Force, will take place at Andravida Air Base in a historic region of Elis. It will continue till the 11th of April. The IAF contingent will include Su-30 MKI fighters, along with combat-enabling IL-78 and C-17 aircraft.

4. Joint Operations in Manipur by Security Forces recovered 29 weapons, Improvised Devices, grenades, ammunition and other war-like stores. Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations, under Spear Corps, launched information-based operations in Kangpokpi, Tengnoupal, Chandel, Senapati, Jiribam and Bishnupur districts of Manipur between 26 March – 29 March 2025 in coordination with Manipur Police, CRPF, BSF and ITBP.

5. Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Central Air Command, and Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Central Command, conducted a joint flight mission in a Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft on Saturday. The exercise aimed to enhance inter-service coordination and operational efficiency between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) has partnered with the Indian Army’s Headquarters Central Command to develop advanced training systems for drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).Under this collaboration, IIT-K will create a Remote Piloting Training Module (RPTM) and a Software-in-the-Loop Simulator (SITL).

7. Indian Army Agniveer Bharti 2025 – Notification, Recruitment, Online Form. This recruitment includes distinct posts like Agniveer Technical, Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Store Keeper, Agniveer Tradesmen and more. The applications for all these posts will soon conclude on 10th April, 2025.
