1. PM Modi Reviews Projects Worth ₹ 50,000 Crore At “Pragati” Meeting
:. “Pragati” is an ICT-based multi-modal platform for pro-active governance and a timely implementation of projects, involving the Centre and the state governments.

2. Cabinet has approved continuation of Centrally Sponsored National Scheme for PM POSHAN in Schools for five more years till 2025-26 with a financial outlay of 54,062 crore rupees from the Central Government and 31,733 crore from State Governments and UT administrations. This will cover 11.80 crore children studying in 11.20 lakh schools.

3. The Cabinet has also approved continuation of the National Export Insurance Account (NEIA) scheme and infusion of 1,650 crore Grant-in-Aid over five years. Capital infusion in NEIA Trust will help tap the huge potential of project exports in focus market.

4. Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has instructed airlines and air navigation service providers to test their flight crew members and air traffic controllers for drugs, including cannabis and cocaine. The drug tests for specified aviation workers will begin from January 31 next year.

5. The remnants of Cyclone Gulab are likely to enter the Arabian Sea on Sep 30 and intensify into a cyclonic storm a day later and then move towards Pakistan, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Many areas in Gujarat are likely to receive rainfall due to the remnants of Cyclone Gulab.

6. Andhra Pradesh: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch Clean Andhra Pradesh (CLAP) at Vijayawada on October 2 and release the second tranche of Aasara scheme on October 7.

7. Chandigarh: A day after resigning as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday stated that he cannot compromise with his ethics, moral authority and pointed out that he didn’t want a “repeat of a system of tainted leaders and officers in the state”.

Delhi : Kapil Sibal, who was one of the 23 leaders who wrote a letter to the party high command demanding a slew of organizational reforms last year, has questioned the leadership over the crisis in Punjab Congress while demanding sweeping changes in the party. 17. The defence ministry said it has decided to enhance the income criteria for grant of family pension to children and siblings suffering from mental or physical disability. At present, a disabled child or sibling of a deceased pensioner is eligible for family pension.
