10. The Karnataka govt has made e-khata mandatory for property registration from October in a move to curb fraudulent property deals. Revenue minister Krishna Byregowda on Friday said the e-khata system, already in force in 12 districts, will now be implemented statewide in October.

1. The Maharashtra police have issued a high alert in Mumbai following a warning from central intelligence agencies about a potential terrorist attack. Security measures have been enhanced in crowded areas and religious sites, as well as sensitive locations. 1. Indian Army has celebrated the 198th Gunners Day yesterday. The day is celebrated to commemorate the raising of the first Indian Artillery Unit, namely, 5 (Bombay) Mountain Battery in 1827.

2. Indian Army has set up a new firing range in Arunachal Pradesh in the Tawang sector, which is also helping the force to get another range along the Northern borders with China.

3. The Indian Army is set to bolster its artillery firepower with the induction of more numbers of K9 Vajra, Dhanush, and Sarang gun systems. The Indian Army is also in the process of inducting 155 mm gun systems to include Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS), Mounted Gun System (MGS) and Towed Gun System (TGS).

4. Country’s first memorial for Military Intelligence personnel comes up at Wanowrie in Pune cantonment, and named Satark Park — inspired by MI’s motto, “Sada Satark” (always alert) — it is the country’s first memorial dedicated to MI personnel.
