1. Both the House of Parliament have been adjourned for the day following opposition’s ruckus over various issues including alleged bribery charges against a prominent business group.

2. The Ministry of Labour and Employment has said that Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, ESIC is working at expanding healthcare access to the workforce and their dependants, by converging the facilities of Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, AB-PMJAY with the Corporation.

3. Indian Railways all set to design & manufacture high-speed trains: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said. In a written reply Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in collaboration with BEML is designing and manufacturing High-Speed Trains sets which will have a design speed of 280 kilometers per hour. The manufacturing cost is around 28 Crore rupees per car.

4. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today launched the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Ease of Doing Business and Regulatory Affairs Portal. The portal will provide status and updates on key initiatives on Ease of Doing Business by both the union government and CII. Users can track progress and submissions on a real-time basis.

5. Hemant Soren took oath as 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in a grand ceremony in Ranchi on Thursday. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by a host of prominent political leaders, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

6. Gujarat is leading in installations of Rooftop Solar System under PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Minister of New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik informed that around 26 lakh applications have been received and more than 6 lakh 16 thousand installations are completed in the country.

7. *The UKPNP (United Kashmir People’s National Party) conference held on 28 November 2024* , emphasized the reunification of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) as a pivotal measure for achieving lasting peace and stability in South Asia.

8. Telangana government scraps grading system for SSC exams
Students will be awarded 100 per cent of the marks considering their external assessment without taking their internal assessment into the count

9. National Highways Authority of India today directed its field offices to take proactive mitigation measures to enhance visibility for the safety of National Highway users. These mitigation measures have been classified under two categories, namely Engineering and Safety Awareness measures.

10. The Manipur government on Thursday announced that classes in schools and colleges in Imphal Valley districts and Jiribam would resume from November 29 after a hiatus of 13 days. Educational institutes in these districts have remained closed since November 16 after the dead bodies of three women and three children in Jiribam were recovered from the Jiri and Barak rivers in Manipur and Assam respectively.

1. The National Investigation Agency conducted extensive searches at 22 locations in six States in human trafficking and cyber fraud cases. These States are Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Punjab.

2. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a series of searches on Wednesday at multiple locations across Delhi and its neighboring regions in connection with a money laundering probe linked to the former promoters of the now-liquidated dairy giant, Kwality Ltd. The case involves accusations of inflating financial statements and misappropriating loan funds.

3. *Encroachment of government land has become an endemic issue in Arunachal Pradesh* , despite the authorities’ reluctance to acknowledge it. Planned towns like Bomdila, Seppa, Itanagar, Ziro, Aalo, Pasighat, and Tezu have already been deformed.

4. The government said that a total of three thousand ninety-four illegal recruitment agents across the country have been notified on the eMigrate portal as of October this year. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh said that the Ministry has noticed that various travel agents in Punjab, who are not authorized to engage in recruitment for overseas employment as per the provisions of The Emigration Act, 1983, are carrying out this work illegally.

5. A local court on Thursday summoned Telangana Minister Konda Surekha to appear before it on December 12 over a criminal defamation complaint filed by actor Nagarjuna. The actor accused the minister of making defamatory statements against him and his family.

1. The government said that domestically, Petrol came down to 94.77 rupees and diesel prices to 87.67 rupees per litre in Delhi, following a reduction of Central Excise duty since November 2021.

2. SBI has raised ₹50,000 crore in FY25 through domestic bond issuances, including AT1, Tier 2, and long-term bonds. The funds were highly oversubscribed, demonstrating strong investor confidence.

1. The Agni Warrior 2024 exercise, a bilateral military collaboration between India and Singapore, commenced on 28 November, 2024, at the Devlali Field Firing Ranges in Maharashtra. This event is scheduled to run until 30 November 2024.

2. President Droupadi Murmu recently highlighted India’s emergence as a significant defence manufacturing hub during her address at the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington, Tamil Nadu. She emphasized that India is evolving into a reliable defence partner and a major exporter of defence equipment, reflecting a broader trend of indigenization and self-reliance in the country’s defence sector.

3. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General, Upendra Dwivedi launched Eklavya, an online digital platform for officers training. This initiative launched in New Delhi aligns with the Indian Army propelling itself into the “Decade of Transformation and also with the Indian Army’s theme for 2024 as the Year of Technology Absorption.

4. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan has emphasised that self-reliance and indigenous defence capabilities are the foundations of enduring peace. General Chauhan was addressing the inaugural session of the Defence Partnership Days organised in New Delhi. He said, India is at the centre stage of global optimism and it has become the 5th largest economy in the world.

5. The 11th edition of Indian Coast Guard’s National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise and Workshop (SAREX-24) will be held in Kochi, Kerala.

6. Project Kusha is India’s ambitious initiative aimed at developing a state-of-the-art Long Range Air Defence System (LR-SAM), intended to enhance the capabilities of the Indian Air Force (IAF). This project is a significant step towards achieving self-reliance in defence technology, particularly in air defence systems, and is being spearheaded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) with an estimated budget of ₹21,700 crore.

7. *IIT-Kanpur Develops Revolutionary Tech to Make Aircraft Invisible to Radar* : IIT-Kanpur has introduced a significant advancement in radar-evading stealth technology named Anālakṣhya. This innovative system is designed to enhance the stealth capabilities of various platforms, including military aircraft and naval vessels, by effectively minimising their radar signatures.Anālakṣhya employs advanced metamaterials that manipulate electromagnetic waves, allowing objects to evade detection by radar systems.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi presented the President’s Colours to the 26th and 27th Battalions of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment and the 20th and 22nd Battalions of the Brigade of The Guards at the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School in Ahilyanagar. The 26th and 27th Battalions of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment and the 20th and 22nd Battalions of the Brigade of The Guards received the Colours.

9. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to strengthen its collaboration with Russia through a visit by its Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. D.K. Sunil, who is currently in Russia to finalize a contract for the licensed manufacturing of 240 AL-31FP engines for the Su-30MKI fighter jets. This initiative follows a significant contract worth ₹26,000 crore (approximately $3.1 billion).

10. Navantia, the Spanish shipbuilding firm, is positioning itself as a key player in India’s submarine manufacturing landscape, particularly through its involvement in the Project 75(I) initiative. This project aims to enhance the Indian Navy’s capabilities by constructing six advanced conventional submarines equipped with Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) systems. Navantia is proposing its S-80 class submarine as the basis for the Project 75(I).
