2. The president of BJP’s Mumbai unit, MLA Ashish Shelar has demanded the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Rs12,000 crore corruption in the BMC, which has been exposed by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report.
3. Delhi High Court today set aside an order discharging nine persons in the 2019 Jamia Nagar violence case. The court partially overturned a trial court order and charged nine out of the 11 accused under sections related to rioting, unlawful assembly and obstructing public servants.
4. Supreme Court has rejected Andhra Pradesh government’s plea to delay a high court ruling from March 2022 that mandated construction of Amaravati as the state capital within six months. The court will review the case and other related petitions on July 11. CM Jagan Reddy had earlier announced plans to relocate to Visakhapatnam and start working from there in July.

DEFENCE
1. On March 25, 2023, the Indian Army’s Armoured Regiments were awarded the prestigious President’s Standard at an event held at the Suratgarh military station in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district. The presentation was made by Army chief General Manoj Pande, who commended the four regiments for their exemplary services.
2. India would be exporting defence equipment and material worth Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 crore by 2026, Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh said.
3. All three wings of the Indian Army, Infantry, Air force & Navy to display their power in five-day Fauji Mela at MBM College, Bhopal from March 29 and will conclude on 02 April.

8. Border Security Force (BSF) shot down another Pakistani drone in Punjab soon after it entered into Indian territory carrying a consignment of contraband items, the paramilitary force said on Tuesday.The drone was shot down around 8.20 pm on Monday in the Amritsar district of Punjab.
