1. In Chhattisgarh, twenty-four Maoists surrendered in Bijapur district. Of these, a reward of twenty-eight lakh fifty thousand rupees had been declared on fourteen Maoists.

5. The NIA court on Monday prolonged the detention period of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana by an additional 12 days.

6. The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to the Centre and other respondents on a petition seeking a ban on streaming sexually explicit material on over-the-top (OTT) and social media platforms, terming it an “important concern.”

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi. The meeting took place in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and decide the course of action after that.

2. India signs deal with France to procure 26 Rafale Marine fighter aircraft. The Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) was signed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of Armed Forces of France Sebastien Lecornu in New Delhi.

3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan discussed on important issues related to military preparedness in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 26 tourists from various states were killed on April 22.

4. Pro-Pakistani social media accounts are circulating fake documents about army preparedness. The government has termed these documents as fake. According to the Press Information Bureau, these social media accounts are falsely claiming that confidential documents related to the preparedness of the Indian Army have been leaked.
