1. *CHANDRA GRAHAN 2023* , it will be the last lunar eclipse of this year. The eclipse will begin at 11:31 PM IST and will end at 2:24 AM IST on October 29. The greatest eclipse will occur at 1:45 AM IST on October 29.

It Occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon. The Moon will turn a reddish-brown colour during a lunar eclipse.

The partial lunar eclipse is set to commence at around 11:31 pm on Saturday (28 October) but the partial Umbral eclipse, which is more noticeable, will start in the early hours of October 29, at around 1:05 am IST.

The lunar eclipse will become maximum at around 1:44 am and will end by 2:23 am.

Tonight’s lunar eclipse will be visible in all Indian cities.

11. TAMIL NADU Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday urged President Smt Droupadi Murmu to give assent to the state’s anti-NEET bill.

The anti-NEET bill or the Tamil Nadu Admission to Under Graduate Medical Degree Courses Bill, 2021, was passed by the Tamil Nadu Assembly to do away with the national common entrance test and return to the earlier system that allowed medical admissions based on the marks scored by students in their Class 12 exams.

1. Amid the ongoing global unrest, Chinese warships and submarines are reportedly heading towards Pakistan for possible wargames and are being closely monitored by the Indian Navy assets including the P-8I surveillance planes and MQ-9B Predator drones. The Indian Navy closely monitors the actions of Chinese naval forces in the Indian Ocean Region.
