1. The 43rd India International Trade Fair concluded yesterday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The theme of the fair this year was Viksit Bharat at 2047. On the last day of the fair, an award presentation function was held for various categories.
2. Deep Depression in Bay of Bengal; Likely to Intensify into Cyclonic Storm, Indian Coast Guard on High Alert. 4. The Government today launched a national campaign, Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat in New Delhi. The primary agenda of the campaign is to make India a child marriage-free nation.
5. In Nagaland, Chief Minister Niephiu Rio today launched several Economic Empowerment initiatives of the state. These includes Ura Cab, Nagaland Tourism Connect- Hornbill Edition and Digital Piggery Insurance.
6. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated several facilities at Kisama ahead of the 25th Hornbill Festival. 13. The Union Cabinet has recently approved the ‘One Nation One Subscription’ (ONOS) scheme, which aims to enhance access to academic journals for higher education institutions across India. It will streamline journal subscriptions through a single platform managed by INFLIBNET.

1. Oil prices continued upward trend today, amid anticipation that OPEC+ could delay a planned increase in oil output in its meeting scheduled later this week. Brent Crude was trading 0.41 percent up at 73 dollars and 11 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude had gained 0.45 percent to trade at 69 dollars and eight cents per barrel.
2. The Central government has completed the fourth tranche of the e-auction of critical and strategic mineral blocks. In a statement, the Ministry of Mines said, the 10 mineral blocks which have been e-auctioned are are located in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Arunachal Pradesh.

1. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has permanently created a hub of National Security Guards (NSG) in the Jammu City to counter any major terror-attack.
The deployment of the NSG commandos is part of an anti-terror plan formulated for Jammu and Kashmir by the J&K Police especially for the high-rise buildings, security installations and public places of sensitive nature if there is any kind of terror attack.
3. The Indian Army has announced plans to open several significant battlefields, including Siachen Glacier, Galwan Valley, and Kargil, to tourists. This initiative aims to provide visitors with a firsthand experience of these historically important sites. The announcement was made by the Army Chief on November 27, 2024, highlighting a shift towards promoting tourism in these regions.
4. India and Tanzania convened their third Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) meeting in Goa, where they reviewed and discussed the breadth of their bilateral defence ties. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the two nations.
