1. PM Modi to share his thoughts with people in MannKiBaat on All India Radio today @ 11 AM.

2. Ahead of Winter Session of Parliament, govt convened all party meet today at 11 AM. Meeting has been convened by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi.

3. Winter Session of Parliament to begin from 29 Nov, Monday; Bill to repeal three farm laws to be tabled in Parliament on first day.

4. The Bill will repeal the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 and to amend the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.

5..President Kovind is on two-day visit to Uttarakhand from today.

6. PM Modi chaired a meeting to review the public health preparedness and vaccination-related situation for COVID-19 in New Delhi on 27 Nov. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, P. K. Mishra, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, and NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr. V. K. Paul were among the attendees.

7. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has appealed to the Farmers’ Union to end their agitation as there is no point in continuing their protest after announcement of repealing the three farms laws by the Central government.

The Agriculture Minister further added that Prime Minister has also announced to constitute a committee to deliberate on the issues of crop diversification, zero-budget farming and making the Minimum Support Price, MSP system more transparent and effective. Mr. Tomar said, this committee will also have representatives from farmers’ organizations.

Rainfall warning issued for 8 states/UTs till December 1, As per IMD, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, areas of Puducherry during November 27-29 and over south Coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 27, 28. Increase in rainfall activity over Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat is likely during November 30-December 1. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on November 30, December 1.

10. ANDHRA PRADESH : : A goods train carrying iron ore from Bacheli in Chhattisgarh to Visakhapatnam derailed after Maoists sabotaged the railway track near Kamalur railway station falling under Visakhapatnam based Waltair railway division. Three locomotives of the train and twenty wagons derailed. The railways incurred nearly Rs 2 crore loss due to the derailment.

11. A DELHI court on Saturday took cognisance of the chargesheets filed by the CBI and the ED against former Union minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti in the Aircel-Maxis case and summoned them on December 20. The cases relate to alleged irregularities in the grant of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval in the Aircel-Maxis deal. The approval was granted in 2006, when Chidambaram was the Union finance minister.

12. HIMACHAL : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of the Himachal Pradesh Non-Gazetted Employees Federation on Saturday announced new pay scales for the employees of the Himachal state government with effect from January 1, 2016.

13. The Himachal government has also reduced the period of contractual employees for their regularisation from three years to two years.

14. KARNATAKA : Two travellers from South Africa, who were tested positive at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, have been found infected with Delta variant of Covid-19. Officials said that 584 people arrived at the Bengaluru airport from 10 high risk countries. Meanwhile 94 travellers arrived from South Africa.

15. MAHARASHTRA : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will undertake a major restoration and beautification of the Worli Fort at the cost of ₹2 crore. “The bund wall of the fort will be repaired In the area around the fort, landscaping will be done and a basalt walkway will be created,” a BMC official said. The tender for the work was issued on November 26.

16. TAMIL NADU CM M K Stalin on Saturday urged Governor R N Ravi to forward a Bill, passed by the Assembly to exempt the state from the ambit of NEET and provide for admission to medical courses based on Class XII marks, to President Ram Nath Kovind for his assent.

17. TELANGANA : The talks held between the Centre and the Telangana govt in Delhi late on Friday to break the deadlock over paddy procurement ended in failure as the Centre reiterated that it would not purchase paddy from Telangana during rabi. It asked Telangana not to sow paddy during rabi season.

18. MEGHALAYA : TechEagle – a Gurugram based DeepTech start-up drone that is building Drone logistic Airline has partnered with Government of Meghalaya and Smart Village Movement (SVM) to carry out India’s first hybrid e-VTOL Drone delivery of lifesaving medicines. The collaboration is aimed at transforming the healthcare supply chain for hard-to-reach population.

19. UTTARKHAND : State-level scheme sanctioning committee (SLSSC) approved drinking water supply schemes worth Rs 225.24 Crore for Uttarakhand. These schemes will provide tap water connections in 293 villages spread over 7 districts of the State.

This year, Jal Shakti Ministry has allocated Rs. 1,443.80 Crore to Uttarakhand, for ensuring clean tap water in every household and freeing women and girls from drudgery of fetching water from a distance.

20. Bollywood : Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif prep up for the Big Day. The wedding, slated to be conducted between 7 and 9 December this year, will take place in Hotel Six Senses, Barwara Fort. The couple have requested their friends and relatives to keep their dates free a few days before and after the event and have a few more things planned.

Army Chief Naravane reviews military exercise ‘Dakshin Shakti’ in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer:: Indian Army Chief Gen MM Naravane on Thursday witnessed wargames being carried out as a part of the ‘Dakshin Shakti’ exercise in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The exercise validates battle readiness and the operational effectiveness of troops.

23. Pak terrorist killed, Army foils infiltration bid in Rajouri
:: Soldiers guarding the LoC gunned down a Pakistani terrorist in Bhimber Gali sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district late on Thursday night, foiling an attempt by an armed group trying to enter India from across the border under the cover of darkness.

24. Mariya Ahmed Didi, the defence minister of the Maldives, was the chief guest at Saturday’s ‘Passing Out Parade’ of officer cadets at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kannur, Kerala. She is the first foreign defence minister to review the parade at the Indian Naval Academy. Didi is on a 6-day visit to India. She was the first female lawyer in the Maldives, and became the first woman in its history to be a minister in 2018.

: (a). Indian Air Force will begin the registration process for IAF AFCAT 2021 from December 1, 2021 onwards. Candidates who want to apply for the Air Force Common Admission Test, AFCAT can apply online through the official site of IAF AFCAT on afcat.cdac.in.

The age limit of the candidate for flying branch is between 20 to 24 years and for Ground Duty branches is between 20 to 26 years.

(b). Ministry of Defence/ HQ Integrated Defence Staff has released a notification for the recruitment of Library Assistant and Information Assistant and Stenographer Grade on the Employment News. The aspirants who are willing to apply for this recruitment should submit their response before the last date.
