1. The Lok Sabha has passed the Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025. The Bill is intended to modernise the immigration laws and it has provisions to confer upon the Central Government certain powers with regard to passports, travel documents, visa and registration.

2. Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched the 12th tranche of commercial coal mine auctions in New Delhi.

3. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced that the government will launch the ‘Sahkar’ taxi, a cooperative-run ride-hailing service modelled after Uber and Ola.

4. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has invited applications for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. Applicants can apply through the National Awards Portal from 1st April.

5. Delhi Assembly has passed the budget 2025-26 with the voice vote yesterday. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented a budget of 1 lakh crore on Tuesday.

6. Health and Family Welfare Ministry releases National Guidelines on Medical Oxygen Management at a workshop held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

7. In Jammu and Kashmir, the cabinet has approved the implementation of key budget announcements made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in his budget speech on March 7. The key announcements include 200 units of free electricity for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households under the PM’s Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, along with 10 kilograms of free ration per person for families in this category.

8. On 6 April 2025, PM Modi will inaugurate the New Pamban Bridge in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. This event coincides with Ram Navami, marking milestone in India’s infrastructure development.

9. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad on Thursday issued an orange alert for 15 districts in Telangana with a forecast of temperature hovering between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.

15. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and some parts of Punjab.

A CBI court in Chandigarh will on Saturday pronounce its judgment in the 2008 alleged “cash at judge’s door” case against Justice Nirmal Yadav, then a sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The case against Justice Yadav had originated when a bag containing Rs 15 lakh was delivered at the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur, another sitting judge of the high court.

7. Major Blow to Actress Ranya Rao As Court Rejects Her Bail Plea For The Third Time In Gold Smuggling Case.

The 33-year-old actress was taken into custody on March 3 after being caught at the Kempegowda International Airport carrying 14.5 kg of gold while returning from Dubai.

8. Telangana State Assembly has passed a resolution against the basis of the proposed delimitation process by the Central Government. The house passed the resolution by voice vote. Introducing the resolution in the Assembly, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urged all political parties and all public organisations to unitely oppose the basis of the proposed delimitation process.

In Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists were killed while an equal number of security forces personnel lost their lives in an encounter in the Sufain forest area of Juthana in the Kathua district last night. 1. SIKANDAR movie is set to be theatrically released worldwide on 30 March 2025, in standard and IMAX formats, coinciding with Eid-al-Fitr.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, The film stars Salman Khan in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.

2. The Raja Saab is an upcoming romantic comedy horror film written and directed by Maruthi, and produced by People Media Factory. The film features Prabhas in a triple role alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt in important roles.

The film was initially scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release date on 10 April 2025 and in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages. However, the film’s release is delayed pending post production work

1. The Ministry of Defence yesterday signed a 2,500 crore rupee contract for the procurement of the Nag Missile System (NAMIS), an anti-tank weapon platform, and 5,000 light vehicles.

The Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy recently conducted a tri-service integrated exercise named PRACHAND PRAHAR (fierce attack)’ from March 25 to 27, 2025, in the challenging high-altitude terrain of the Himalayas along India’s northern borders.This three-day exercise showcased the forces’ capabilities in multi-domain operations, emphasizing their readiness and technological prowess to counter potential threats.

3. India is set to conduct its inaugural joint naval exercise, AIKEYME (Africa-India Key Maritime Engagement), with ten African nations in April 2025.

4. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi inaugurated the new North Jetty at the Naval Base in Kochi on March 27, 2025. The jetty is designed to enhance berthing capacity and support services for naval ships and auxiliary vessels, strengthening India’s maritime capability and operational efficiency.
