1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu highlights priorities of government during her address to joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament; Says, agro, dairy and fishery based industries are being expanded in villages.

9. The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved Tata Sons’ proposal to build a ‘museum of temples’ in Ayodhya, a project worth Rs 650 crore to be funded through Tata’s corporate social responsibility fund.
10. Government employees involved in surrogacy will now receive extended maternity leave of 180 days for commissioning mothers and 15 days of paternity leave for commissioning fathers.
(a) Commissioning mothers, defined as those with fewer than two surviving children, can now avail 180 days of maternity leave in cases of surrogacy. This applies to both the surrogate and the commissioning mother if they are government servants.
(b) Commissioning fathers defined as, who are male government servants with fewer than two surviving children are eligible for 15 days of paternity leave within six months from the child’s delivery date.

1. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar today announced that the suspension of AAP MP Sanjay Singh from the Upper House of Parliament has been revoked. Sanjay Singh was suspended from the House on 24th July last year till the Committee of Privileges submits its findings.
2. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two persons in connection with the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam. Official sources said that the two accused have been arrested from Patna in Bihar.
3. In Jharkhand, the Ranchi Special PMLA Court today extended the judicial custody of jailed former Chief Minister Hemant Soren by 14 days. Soren is lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi on charges of money laundering through a land scam.
4. The Delhi Court sends CM Arvind Kejriwal to CBI Custody for three days in money laundering case.
5. AIMIM President and MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday stoked a massive controversy by hailing Palestine. Owaisi, who won the Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad, took oath as a member on Tuesday. He concludes his oath with the words, “Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine”.
Palestine, mostly Muslim-dominated, is a territory in Israel. In October last year, Israel launched an all-out attack on Hamas – a militant force that controls the Palestinian enclave Gaza – following a deadliest attack on the Jewish nation.

Prabhas Kalki 2898 AD Release and Review Live Updates: Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan has released worldwide on June 27. The film’s story is a mission to save the unborn child of Deepika Padukone’s character. The unborn child is said to be Kalki, the avatar of Lord Vishnu.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD box office collection on day 1 could be as much as Rs 200 crore gross globally on its first day and Rs 500 cr in the first weekend.

1. Adani Defence & Aerospace has partnered with Thales Group to produce 70mm rockets in India, supporting the “Make in India” initiative. This collaboration aims to enhance India’s defence capabilities with locally produced rockets for HAL Rudra and Prachand helicopters.
2. Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO handed over the Medium Range-Microwave Obscurant Chaff Rocket (MR-MOCR) to the Indian Navy at a ceremony held in New Delhi.
Microwave Obscurant Chaff is a niche technology developed by DRDO’s Defence Laboratory in Jodhpur. It obscures radar signals and creates a microwave shield around platforms and assets, and reduced radar detection. Special type of fibres have been assembled in the medium range chaff rocket. The rocket forms microwave obscurant cloud in space when fired, spreading over a sufficient area.
3. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed six consecutive developmental trials of High Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) ‘ABHYAS’ with improved booster configuration from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
4. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently developing a reusable launch vehicle (RLV) technology. As part of the RLV program, ISRO plans to use a modified Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rocket to launch RLVs in the next phase of testing, specifically for orbital re-entry demonstration missions.
5. India and Maldives held the 7th Joint Staff Talks at the Maldivian capital city on Thursday.The Indian delegation was led by Air Vice Marshal Prashant Mohan.
