Delhi to Get 400 Electric Buses Ahead of G20 Summit. All the related arrangement is already at its peak as 19 countries including the European Union will come together to attend the summit. It has been reported that ahead of the big event, the national capital will have as many as 400 electric buses, out of which some of them will be used for the summit before joining the DTC fleet.

1. An Indian Air Force (IAF) contingent carrying 150 Indian army personnel departed to participate in Exercise BRIGHT STAR-23, a biennial multilateral tri-service exercise scheduled to take place at Cairo Air Base, Egypt. The exercise is set to take place from 27 August to 16 September 2023.
2. The Indian Air Force (IAF) deployed five MiG-29 combat jets, six transport aircraft and a group of its special forces personnel at a 21-day multilateral war game in Egypt that began on Sunday.
3. Indian Air Force, which is looking to procure Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA), is carrying out a comprehensive study to identify the current and future payload-carrying requirements of the force.
It has already issued a Request For Information (RFI) to global manufacturers for aircraft with load-carrying capacity between 18 to 30 tonnes. The 2020 stand-off with China in Eastern Ladakh has changed the nature of airlift and support for the Army required in high-altitude areas.
4. The defence ministry on Friday sealed a Rs 19,000 crore deal with Hindustan Shipyard Ltd (HSL) for acquisition of five fleet support ships for the Indian Navy.
