1. PM Modi yesterday stressed that the perpetrators and conspirators of the Pahalgam terror attack will be given a befitting reply. Addressing the nation in his Mann Ki Baat programme.

(b) Prime minister urges citizens to use ‘Sachet’ mobile app, to receive real-time alerts on natural disasters in regional languages.

(c) The Prime Minister spoke of the innovative efforts of NRIs in Ethiopia, Africa to send children who are suffering from heart disease since birth to India for treatment.

(d) PM said that India had sent a large quantity of vaccines for the people of Afghanistan. These vaccines will be useful in preventing dangerous diseases like Rabies, Tetanus, Hepatitis B and Influenza.

(e) PM Modi also drew attention to a Science Centre at Dantewada in Chhattisgarh. He said that Dantewada was earlier only known for violence and unrest, but now the Science Centre there has become a new ray of hope for children and their parents.

(f) The Prime Minister also spoke about the Champaran Satyagraha of 1917, which was led by Mahatma Gandhi. He said that 108 years ago in the months of April and May, a unique battle for independence was being fought in the country.

(g) The Prime Minister said that on the 10th of May, the anniversary of the first freedom struggle will be observed. On the 26th of April, the death anniversary of the hero of the 1857 revolution, Babu Veer Kunwar Singh, will be observed. He said that the nation has to keep the inspiration of such freedom fighters alive.

2. India’s readiness to provide aid in global crisis becoming hallmark of nation’s identity: PM Modi said.

3. PM Modi said the entire country is proud of all those who participated in Operation Brahma. He added that India’s readiness as the Vishwa-Mitra in times of crisis and commitment to humanity are becoming the hallmark of the nation’s identity.

4. PM Modi asserts, unity and solidarity of 140 crore Indians is country’s biggest strength in its fight against terrorism; Assures nation, perpetrators and conspirators behind Pahalgam terror attack will be given harshest punishment.

5. A short duration hot test of the Semi-Cryogenic Engine was successfully conducted at the test facility in ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri on 24 April 2025. This ignition test is the second milestone after the successful first hot test on 28 March 2025.

All references to Mughals and Delhi Sultanate have been dropped from class 7 NCERT textbooks, while chapter on Indian dynasties, ‘sacred geography,’ references to Maha Kumbh, and government initiatives like Make in India and Beti Bachao, Beti padhao are among the new additions.

1. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially taken over the investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack following directives from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), underscoring the gravity of the incident and its implications for national security.
